Financial Advisor Experience

Born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia, Michael studied education, electrical engineering, music and economics at Old Dominion University. For the last 20 years, Michael has practiced financial planning, investment management and tax preparation in Virginia and North Carolina. While with his former broker/dealer, Michael won two Presidential Recognition awards and a "Best in Virginia" citation for excellence in financial planning and advice. Readers of the Virginian Pilot voted Michael "Best Financial Advisor." Michael holds the professional designation, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. Michael has qualified as an expert witness in the 3rd Judicial District of Virginia. He is a Director for the Railroad Museum of Virginia, The Cultural Alliance of Greater Hampton Roads and the Rotary Club of Portsmouth. He is a member of The Financial Planners Association of Hampton Roads. Michael also sang with the Virginia Symphony Chorus for 15 seasons and has been a regular on stage with the Virginia Opera in both chorus and comprimario roles.
