In 2005, Dan graduated from the State University of Albany, located in upstate New York, with a degree in Political Science. That same year he joined the United States Air Force Reserve as Operations Intelligence Analyst. In 2008, he was selected to become an Intelligence Officer, serving at the 109th Airlift Wing, located in Scotia, New York attaining the rank of Captain. In 2012, Dan served in Operation Enduring Freedom, the ongoing military operation in Afghanistan. Following his military deployment, Dan choose to change careers and relocated to San Francisco, CA to pursue a career as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
In 2017, Dan earned his master’s degree in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University. Following his graduate program, he worked at a prestigious registered investment advisory in San Francisco, where he gained invaluable experience, knowledge, and hands-on experience serving clients in the financial sector. With a passion for creating something meaningful and a desire to dedicate his time to clients, Dan created Thirty Mile Financial.
Dan puts his passion and experience as a CFP® professional towards helping his clients organize and optimize their finances, assisting them in aligning their money with their values, and understanding the complexities of investing, taxes, and equity compensation. He believes everyone deserves quality financial advice. To provide this, he educates his clients to understand their finances and how they impact every aspect of their lives.
In addition to his work, Dan is a member of the San Francisco Financial Planning Association Chapter and serves on the board as the Co-Chair of the Career Development Committee. Always eager to learn more about the industry, he is also a member of the XY Planning Network and National Association of Personal Financial Advisors.
