Financial Advisor Overview

Birdie Retirement Planning (BRP) offers comprehensive retirement planning to clients in or near retirement, who don’t want to give up control of their investment portfolio. As a fee-only, advice-only financial planner, BRP always acts as a fiduciary, putting clients’ interests first. Birdie Retirement Planning never receives any payments from anyone other than the client. I am Chris Brown, an advice-only, fee-only financial planner with a strong desire to help families optimize their financial resources in retirement. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM professional, specializing in retirement planning. My goal is to provide unbiased advice and education to clients who wouldn’t normally be a good fit to work with a financial planner, due to the requirement to give up control of their investments.

Financial Advisor Experience

I am new to the field of financial planning, but I have been teaching students in a CFP Board registered financial planning program for over 20 years. I have taught courses in Financial Markets and Institutions, Investment Theory, Principles of Real Estate, and currently teach the Retirement Planning class. I passed the CFP exam in July 2022.
