Prior to founding Ebersole Financial, Jamie spent 15 years working with large financial institutions and institutional investors, helping them reach their investment goals. During that time, he was responsible for the oversight and management of investment programs of more than $1.5 billion on behalf of those clients.
Earlier in his career Jamie worked in the financial planning and mutual fund accounting businesses. Following his MBA studies, Jamie joined a management training program with a large German insurance group, which took him through diverse job rotations including working as part of an Insurance and Asset Management M&A team out of Munich, Germany, and working as a Controller for Allianz of America in Novato, California. Jamie eventually joined Allianz Private Equity Partners in 2001, beginning his tenure in the institutional asset management space. He worked his way up the ranks to Managing Director and head of the New York office by the time he left in 2008. Jamie then joined SL Capital Partners in Boston, MA to head up the Boston investment team, where he was instrumental in developing and setting North American investment strategy, as well as overseeing the investment of client funds focused on middle-market private equity. He was promoted to Managing Director before his tenure at SL Capital ended and he began Ebersole Financial. In addition, Jamie has extensive experience dealing with family businesses, as the child, brother and grandson of small business owners, and he relishes the opportunity to join the family business community for himself.
Jamie earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree from Tufts University with a concentration in European History. He later earned an MBA from The Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile in Santiago, Chile. Jamie has lived overseas for extended periods of time including stints in Munich, Germany, Santiago, Chile, London, England and Vienna, Austria.
