Certified Financial Planners have a proven blueprint for success—but your planner builds it entirely around you.

My process begins with a conversation. During our introductory call, I spend time learning about you, what is important to you, what you hope to accomplish, and what financial questions or concerns brought you to us. It is also an opportunity for both of us to determine whether we are a good fit to work together. From there, we build a comprehensive financial plan centered around your goals. For many clients, retirement planning is at the heart of that process, so we develop a detailed retirement model to help answer questions such as when you can retire, how much you can comfortably spend, and how different decisions may affect your long-term financial independence. But creating the plan is only the beginning. I believe good financial planning should lead to action. We work with you to implement our recommendations and coordinate the different areas of your financial life. If your estate planning documents need to be created or updated, for example, we can help coordinate with an estate planning attorney and remain involved throughout the process. Tax planning is also an important part of our ongoing work. At least annually, we review your tax return and prepare forward-looking tax projections. Rather than simply discussing general tax strategies, we provide specific tax advice based on your circumstances. We identify opportunities and help you make decisions before year-end, while there is still time to act. Your financial plan is not something we create once and put on a shelf. We update it at least annually as your life, goals, investments, tax situation, and financial circumstances change. Throughout the year, we proactively look for planning opportunities and help you navigate financial decisions as they arise.
