I'm a scratch-paper planner for midlife adults who are touching mortality in some capacity. I bring questions, reflection, practical tools, and professional knowledge. You bring your lived experience and expertise in being you.

Don't wait for a crisis to rethink your relationship with money. Let your awareness of mortality inform how you live, spend, save, and give.
Illness, Death, and Grief

When mortality changes everything, you don't have to figure it all out at once. Focus on what matters now, and give the rest room to unfold.
Millennials & GenZ

When mortality arrives decades before expected, financial plans can feel irrelevant. Start with what matters now, not a perfect plan.

Caregiving for Aging Relatives

Caregiving can change your financial future, too. Understand the costs, clarify responsibilities, and protect your own well-being along the way.
Death in the Family

Grief and financial decisions are a difficult mix. Triage what's urgent, give yourself time for the rest, and don't navigate it alone.
End of Life and Legacy Planning

Plan for more than what happens to your money. Consider what matters most, who matters most, and how you want to care for them while you're here.

Summarized from the CFP® Board's Practice Standards. cfp.net
My clients are midlife adults who are confronting mortality in some capacity: • Living with a terminal or life-threatening diagnosis and navigating the collision of health, money, relationships, work, identity, time, and what matters most. • Part of someone's Circle of Care, figuring out how to love and support someone through illness, dying, or profound change while navigating your own responsibilities, limits, fears, and grief. • Living in “The Sequel” after surviving a life-threatening illness or the death of someone you love, when the crisis may be over but “life as usual” no longer applies. • Curious, anxious, or simply ready to talk about death and money before circumstances force the conversation. I don't provide traditional financial planning. Instead, I offer what I call "scratch-paper planning," a collaborative, conversation-based approach that complements the work of traditional financial planners. What Might We Talk About? Money & Practical Life - Financial decisions and trade-offs, cash flow, benefits, insurance, estate and incapacity planning, organizing important information, and preparing questions for other professionals. Life Transitions - Changing priorities, relationships, identity, work, caregiving roles, uncertainty, and the experience of realizing that the life you planned may no longer be possible. Mortality & End of Life - Advance care planning, hospice and palliative care, dying and the dying process, end-of-life options, caregiving, memorial planning, life review, storytelling, and your enduring influence. Grief, Meaning & the Human Stuff - Fear, grief, hope, secondary losses, family dynamics, purpose, identity, difficult conversations, and questions that simply don't have tidy answers. Often, we'll talk about several of these topics in one conversation. Golden Thread Collaborative offers you a place for the conversations that do not fit neatly anywhere else.
