Certified Financial Planners have a proven blueprint for success—but your planner builds it entirely around you.

Summarized from the CFP® Board's Practice Standards. cfp.net
My goal is to build a long-term relationship and provide coordinated financial, investment, retirement, and tax planning—not simply manage an investment account. In order to have a good understanding, I firmly believe every financial planning starts with knowing you—not with recommending products. I begin with a conversation about your financial situation, family, priorities, concerns, and what you want your money to accomplish. I then review your investments, retirement accounts, income, taxes, insurance, and other relevant financial information to identify opportunities and potential gaps. I will create recommendations based on your individual goals and circumstances. This may include retirement planning, investment management, tax-efficient strategies, income planning, and other areas important to your financial future. Before making changes, I explain what I recommend, why I recommend it, and how it fits into your overall financial plan. I want you to understand your strategy and feel comfortable with the decisions we make together. Once we agree on a strategy, I help put the recommendations into action and coordinate the different pieces of your financial plan. Finally, financial planning is an ongoing process. We meet regularly to review your investments and financial plan, discuss changes in your life, and make adjustments as needed.
