Most of the people I work with have done a good job saving for retirement. Now they want to make sure they get the big decisions right. I especially enjoy helping people who are within a few years of retirement and have questions about retirement income, taxes, Social Security, pensions, 401(k)s, employer benefits or executive compensation. Some people come to us because they’re retiring this year. Others are trying to figure out if they can retire early. And some have more complicated decisions involving company stock, deferred compensation or other employer benefits. My job is to help you understand your options, run the numbers and make a decision you feel good about.
Executives

Don’t let your compensation plan make your retirement decisions for you. Coordinate stock, benefits, taxes and retirement timing together.
Pre-Retiree

Before you retire, get clear on your income, taxes, Social Security and pension decisions. The years before retirement matter most.
Retirees or Seniors

Retirement isn’t the end of planning. Keep your income, taxes, Social Security and investments working together.
Early Retirement or Financial Independence

Early retirement takes more than hitting a number. Plan your income, taxes and health insurance before you leave work.
Pension and Social Security

Don’t make your pension and Social Security decisions separately. Compare the options together and see how they fit your retirement income.
Retirement Planning

Retirement planning works best when your income, taxes, Social Security, investments and big decisions all work together.
Certified Financial Planners have a proven blueprint for success—but your planner builds it entirely around you.

Summarized from the CFP® Board's Practice Standards. cfp.net
I help people make great retirement decisions. We start by figuring out what matters most to you and what decisions are coming up next. Then we work through your retirement income, taxes, Social Security, pension, investments, insurance and employer benefits so you can see how the pieces fit together. Our retirement planning process is organized around five areas: Spend, Make, Keep, Invest and Leave. The goal isn’t to hand you a giant financial plan and send you on your way. We work with you over time as decisions come up, tax laws change and retirement gets closer. I want you to understand the math behind your choices, know why we’re recommending something and feel confident about what to do next.
