Certified Financial Planners have a proven blueprint for success—but your planner builds it entirely around you.

Summarized from the CFP® Board's Practice Standards. cfp.net
Westlight Wealth is my solo practice, so the person you meet on the first call is the person who writes your plan and manages your portfolio. There is no service team and no handoff. The first conversation is a complimentary 15 minutes. You describe your situation, I ask a few questions, and I say plainly whether the practice is a fit. If it is not, I point you to someone better suited. From there, planning and investment management run as one ongoing engagement. We agree what the money is for, I write the plan around that, and the portfolio is built from models I maintain myself, to an Investment Policy Statement written for you. The plan is reviewed with you every year, and the decisions that carry deadlines, a vest date, an exercise window, a Roth conversion, the sale of a business, are scheduled in advance rather than handled the week they arrive. Tax returns stay with your CPA and legal work with your attorney. I work alongside both.
