Financial Advisor Experience

John has over twenty years of personal and corporate finance experience. Previous to becoming a CFP® in 2009, John's tenure as CFO and owner of a mid size professional service company provided experience in all phases of running a business - from general administration and financial management to cost and tax preparation accounting and retirement plan administration. He is positioned to be an effective planner in the personal and corporate world because of his familiarity with various industries, experience with governmental entities and his educational background that adds an additional layer of knowledge that helps him to better meet clients' needs. John holds a BS in Business Administration/Finance, a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver and a Financial Planning Certificate from Metropolitan State College. John has been repeatedly recognized by 5280 Magazine as being one of "Denver's Top Wealth Managers". John is a member of the Financial Planning Association and has volunteered his time to further the profession and taught financial planning and literacy through his local church. Diak has also been involved in a variety of community activities and organizations including the Rotary Club of Cherry Creek Valley and the Financial Coaching Ministry at Southeast Christian Church. In addition, he has donated professional services to local organizations including Praying Hands Ranch, Parker Senior Center, Double Angel Ballpark and the Miller Safety Center.
